Pellistor type PC is designed to use in devices measuring concentrations of gas and flammable vapours, in explosimeters and systems of monitoring wxplosion hazard etc. Devices with PC detectors may be applicated in many industries where is the must to monitoring explosive gas concentration, e.g. mining, chemical industry, petrochemistry, municipal economy etc.
The operation of the pellistor is based on catalytic combustion (measuring range up to 100% LEL) or on heat conductivity difference between the measured and reference gases (measuring range up to 100% V/V). Catalityc detector consists of two elements: the active SA and compensative SK. The compensative element bypassed by compensative resistor RK. Thermoconductive detector consists of a reference element SR and measurement element SP. Pellistors are working in Wheatstone'a bridge.

The sensing head type SG-X/YZ for devices of group I and II is for detection and measurement methane concentration in areas of explosion hazard, characterized by rapid answer time T90 (<3s) to sudden jump of measured gases. It works in continuous or intermittent modes. The head has got the EC type examination certificate:
